Does anyone know how it would look to remove the moldings and vent above the side skirt? Thinking of doing it. Any pics?

Thanks Josh

OMG... THAT IS SO F*ckin sexy!!!!! OMG its so beautiful i want to  everytime I see it!

Is that a stock from bumber? For an eclipse, or talon? And those side skirts should be the same for any 1g gsx? I am planning on repainting my car and having all dents removed etc in the next year or so. I dont have the stock side skirts, but they look so nice and clean, and that front bumber is nice and clean too.

I dont mean to hijack the thread... but do you think it would be hard to remove the black molding on my car and shave, or mold it to be clean like in the above picture??? Thanks in advance for your repsonse.

One last question. Anyone know whos car that is? I have seen it in the gallery, but I lost all of my favorites when they upgraded...

*Edit* I Just noticed that he doesnt have popups? Anyone have any info on this? Is it just molded or what?!

yea youre right...

pretty damn good chop though.

Would it even be possible to take of the side molding and shave it like that??? has anyone ever done it?

hey nice photoshop on that first one by the way, looks hella sweet...
now for the real one, what kit is that, i have a 1g talon..i like those sides

that'd be my car. actually it's an FX Designs kit. the rear bumper is NOT on yet, it doesn't fit the laser, but only the Talon/Eclipse. i'm considering doing another entire repaint this winter & re-glassing the rear bumper cover to fit so i finally have the entire kit on the car. also contemplating molding in the side moldings to match the handles. not sure on new paint color though... was thinking a bright candle apple red met. but now considering just adding a little pearl to the clear over the same basecoat red thats on there now. possibly silver pearl/met. to the clear.

molding the sideskirts is harder than it seems. you need an entire piece of metal to run the length of the door to fill in where the stock plastic mold is. that's a lot of seamwelding & grinding to match perfect. not 100% sure i want to take that on yet. i've only dabbled in bodywork, but so far i've had good luck. so we'll see. i'll be sure to update this thread next spring if i ever do the work: :thumb:

Here is my car I'm getting in a couple weeks. Its a 92 Laser RS-AWD. I gotta find some rims, but the rest of the body is very clean. The paint, wing, and shaved handles are 2 years old. The engine is bone stock, 93k miles-5 speed.

i photo shoped that red car a long time ago. i did the same stuff too my car. not cool taking credit for someone elses photo editing skills. :barf:

wHAT ??????? WTF are you talking about ?

The wing was on the car when I got it and I'm not that concerned about it. I'd rather spend money on other things than bodywork. I just got it, I'm not even driving it yet. I'll see how it looks when I get some decent rims before I mess with it. Like I said, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere right now. :thumb:

Here are two pics of mine from yesterday....

EDIT: ignore the calipers i'll paint them black when i get the car out. :thumb:
