maybe your boost gauge is shot and not reading the correct psi. You know you need to do a boost leak test so what are you waiting for? That might tell you alot or it might tell you nothing but atleast its one thing you can check off your list of things to check.

Here is my last log. SAFC settings start at +2 and gradually make it up to +17 at 6000 and above.

RPM Knock Timing
2300 0 29
2600 0 29
2900 2 29
3200 0 26
3500 0 24
3800 0 25
4100 4 23
4400 3 25
4700 1 25
5000 1 25
5300 1 27
5600 0 28
5900 5 26
6200 4 25
6500 27 10--------Fuel Cut.

Timing looks a little high dont yea think am I not correcting the SAFC negative so it should affect it that much right?

That timing is way too high. But if you lean it out the knock comes back right? Somethings not right there is no way you should be adding that much fuel at only 9psi of boost. I would probly start by rewiring your stock fp or getting a 190lph pump. Next log watch your airflow hz on the safc. I am curious how much air the maf is seeing at 9psi. Log your idc's too.

I did a quick log in first, no knock and 31* max timing. Maf read 1599 at 6500rpm. I have a 40 mile trip I need to take tomorrow so i will get a good log. I will log rpm, knock, timing, maf hz, and idc.

I did another log today in 4th gear. Had up to 12 counts so had to add a little more fuel. Now it almost feels like it hesitates right at 6000-6800 and gets lots of knock no madder how much fuel I add or take out. I have new wires and plugs. Not sure what it is. I bought a air tank today to do a boost leak test. Tomorrow I will time and boost leak test it.

Have you checked your fuel pump yet? Sometimes the rubber seal between the pump and the sending unit tears causing a big fuel leak while under boost. When the fuel regulator raises the fuel pressure that seal might be dumping the fuel back into the tank which would cause you to run lean.

Where do you have your boost gauge taped into?

Is the vaccuum line still plugged into the fuel pressure regulator?

I am reaching here on idea's but you never know. I was having fp/knock issues and it ended up being that the bolts that hold the top of my afpr loosened up which caused a leak under boost and made it not raise at a 1:1 ratio under boost. I check everything i could think of and stumbled upon the real problem by accident.

Well I had a wheel bearing go out last night, so im the process of replacing that. Im going to do the front wheel bearings, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and check everything.

I will check the fuel pump to see if the seal is ok. When I bought my car it was stripped. I ran the vaccuum line from the intake mani to the FPR. I tapped the boost gauge into that line. The one from the mani to fpr I think.
