i'm rebuilding my engine from the crank out, i'll be running a 2g manifold with ported o2 housing, 2.5-3" side exit exhaust, MBC, K&N, boost gauge. my stock turbo has 3 bad 3-4 inch cracks where the wastegate flap seals inside the turbo, should i run it, or replace it with a stock one or a bigger one? and what psi should i run?
i have about 3-400 to throw at it for supporting mods but i'ts my daily driver so i have no time to take it to a shop anytime soon.
i'm a newb and i'll admit it, i would just rather make a bad newb post then make a bad newb mod and blow the engine up, please understand i'm just lost and am looking for help from someone more knowledged then me whos been in this spot to kinda guide me in the right direction,i know dsmtuners has a mod list but i don't know whats the intelegent way to go given my budget... any input is GREATLY appreciated. thanks abunch guys.

if you're workin with $300-$400 you're not gonna get too far. What mods are done to the car to begin with? If your fuel system is stock and you have no way to tune the car I wouldn't reccomend you getting a bigger turbo and honestly I don't think you can afford one on your budget anyway. You're best off replacing it with the stock t25 for now. If you do the work in swapping the turbo yourself you could probably get away with changing it for about $100. From there I would do boost gauge, MBC, intake, BOV, exhaust (and for the love of god please don't do a side exit they look like crap on our cars). On a $400 budget you could probably do the turbo, MBC, boost gauge, and intake and still have a few dollars left over to save up for an exhaust or something. By the way you're gonna hit fuel cut at 18psi if your car's stock so set the boost at about 16psi the highest after you fix the turbo and put the boost controller in but you're really gonna be beating on that turbo running that much boost on a turbo that small.

i already have a MBC, Boost gauge, and intake but i'll refrain from the side exhaust as that is a valid point, but i have a exhaust lined up for it i'm goin with a 3" down pipe high flow cat and either a 2.5-3'' cat back unless advised otherwise, the car is completely stock aside from the parts listed above and the 2g manifold and ported 2g o2 housing,
so your saying i should leave the stock fuel system pump and all? if i do a BOV i can't do a atmospheric one can i? cus i read somewhere that it messes with the stock ecu or something like that doesn't it? i also do all my own work its just the first time i've done anything with a turbo on it.. im used to N/A subarus and toyotas

with 400 dollars you would be suprised at what u can actually do. since you all ready have mbc, gauge and intake, a full 3 inch exhaust would be a nice mod. make sure to do all your free mods. you can search on here for them and they provide a nice gain(considering its free) other than that i would stick with a 14b and run no more than 16lbs like semi380 pointed out. stock 1g bov will do just make sure you crush it. and venting to the atmosphere is a no no. car wont idle right and over time will be bad on ## motor from running rich in between shifts.

do i still need to crush the bov even if i only run 16lbs of boost? i know i could buy some stuff with 400 bucks but i don't know what.... should i buy a bigger fuel pump "190" or bigger? should i buy some kind of wideband? should i buy some kind of dsmlink tuner or something? should i buy a front mount? should i buy next size up injectors? ect.. i want to upgrade i just don't know what..... and i have no problem buying used parts from classifieds, i don't nessesarily neeeeeedddd new parts, it's just more of a "this is how much i have, what can i do" build...

crushing the bov is not necessary, i would recommend spending the money on an exhaust system. You will notice the difference over the stock exhaust.

ok so i need to replace the turbo because its shot, whats the difference between the 14b and t25? are they one in the same? i've been trying to find threads on the matter but to now avail, also i'm pressed on time the car is being put back together as we speak. i need a turbo and i need to know what to get, in that specific area first. i don't mean to sound rude or unappreciative but i don't want to buy a turbo and then have someone tell me "why didnt you buy this?" please help:pray:
