That's pretty cheap, but the Ingalls arms do not come with a nice bearing on the inboard side like the $150 eBay arms that johnnytsi posted up. So now we have four good choices:

Poly bushings $65

"Taboo" mod $free (maybe a couple bucks for bolts)

Ingalls arms $130

eBay arms $150

True. I like the ingalls since they're complete and ready to bolt in, along w/ being a better designed arm than the stock one. I asked the tech guy @ ingalls about swapping in poly bushing before installing, his suggestion was to bolt them in and that should suffice until you /really/ get serious about autocross. He didn't think most ppl would notice a big difference by swapping out the bushing over the one that comes w/ the UCA.

Ingals may be a bad choice!

I have direct experiance with 2 broken Ingals upper control arms.

This is what is going on my 1G:
Upper Control Arm

Also here on eBay

This unit looks to be able to handle a lot more abuse, yet alow easy adjustment for those of us that are always tweeking "something" on our car :D

I have these on my car, very nice peaces. Easy to install and adjust. Only problem is if you autoX in a class besides street mod, they have sperical bearings instead of bushings which aren't stock class or street prepared class leagal.

Well an aftermarket boost controller isn't SP legal either, so basically any modded dsm will fall in SM.

how are you guys workign out with them dme kits? I will be having a 1 inch drop and am wondering if I will get much negative camber with the drop or not?

You shouldn't have to worry about your camber with a 1" drop. The stock adjusters will have enough range to get it back in spec.

On a side note, has anyone else noticed how tight the bushings are in the DME kit? I'm not just talking about installing them either. On the car I've noticed the suspension doesn't move up and down as freely anymore. It seems like the bushing won't let the control arm move more than an inch without restricting it's movement. I've been feeling a weird bounciness in the rear suspension when going over bigger bumps and I think it could be from the bushings binding up. That Ingalls kit is looking pretty good right now.

Since my questions are relating to the topic of this thread, I want to keep it on the same page.

A buddy of mine selling his 1G Ingalls camber kit for AWD. It has part # 38421. However, according to Ingalls website, they have it listed as part # 38420 for 1G AWD camber kit. Can someone verify if there is a difference. Everything inside 38421 looks identical to the picture of the kit on Ingalls page. Any input is appreciated.

Well those units look much nicer than the ingalls kit, however read that guys feedback!!! OUCH! I have cash in hand but I'm thinking twice about it now :nono:

WOW!

That is some stinkey feedback recently!! I was happy with the service I got back in March. I installed the upper arms on my car and am also pleased with the fit and functionality.

Pictures Here

Given that all of the negetive feedback is within the last month, there may be an explanation. Send him an email and ask what's up?

To be honest I'd much rather have the drunken bear kit but his page doesn't list ANY contact info at all... No number, no email etc. I sent him an email asking what's up through ebay buuuuuut I don' even know if he uses that anymore. Anyone know what this guys email or phone is? I want a set of em!!!

i just order some for my 1g dsm so i will keep you updated i order them on the 12 of may all i recieved is a email.

I just ordered Ingals Front & Rear camber kit from Lightening Motorsports.

Rear = $174 shipped
Front = $46 shipped

What do you guys think? Cheap or overpriced?

I'VE called everday since i posted and i heard nothing from him. his website is still up and his phone is still on.

if thats the case he needs to shut down his website i am going to look at takeing action against him. has anybody else dealt with him.

its funny i had a couple of people deal with him with no problems and all of the sudden his feedback on ebay gets real bad. now he just disappers i was just thinking maybe he's dead or something. i going to call the police over there and see if there is a death certifacte or he has been arrested, or serving time in the arm forces. it weird to do good then all of a sudden stop. i would'nt be surprise if that he dead or something it would'nt be the first time that happen to me.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with the DME kit? I'm looking into my options as far as rear camber correction is concerned and I'd like to know before I go ahead and purchase this kit.
