This may have already been asked but I can't find an accurate answer. Are 1g awd and fwd calipers the same? I need new calipers and the fwd ones are cheaper so I was wondering if they would fit a awd.

Solution
No they aren't the same. The bracket that holds the ebrake cable is different. The bracket on the fwd calipers will not allow you to put the caliper all the way on as that bracket hits the lateral arm.

Of course i've made a fwd caliper work on an awd before. Can't remember exactly what i did, but i wound up unbolting the bracket from the awd caliper and bolting it onto the fwd caliper. Had to also shave it some so i was able to bolt the caliper down to the hub.
