1g power door locks

car is a 91 gsx, problem is when i shut the car off, drivers door open and i go to flip the toggle to locked so both doors lock prior to me getting out of the car it powers them back to the unlocked postion, i have to then close the door with them being unlocked and lock the car with me key....WTF....this drives me crazy please help

Have you tried it on the passenger side? Leave both unlocked, go around and lock the passenger side from the inside, and see if they stay locked.

Then report back.

If all else fails pull the the fuse then you can lock each 1 from inside

try the module under the passenger front kick panel its a small white box, thats probably your problem.

in my car its black, i unplugged it....all it did is kill the power door locks.....looking to keep the power door locks just have them function properly

Try sitting in the car and locking both at the same time. Does it stay then?

Same problem did you check the module like i suggested i found mine was burnt up i always get extra stuff from the salvage yard, check that and let us know.

i did try it....there are 2 white plugs in a black box, tryd them both and one at a time it killed the power locks didn't fix the problem...im at a loose for words

mine does this but only if i lock it from the passenger side.

Does your car have an after market security system? some of the newer systems do this to keep you from locking the keys in the car. A suggestion would be to check the wires in the door; perhaps they are contacting something when the door opensSHUTS (thus hitting the unlock).
