I got the 1G, IGN1a plug and play for Haltech and mini labeled.

Here's the current help needed...

There's a 3 group bundle of..
Wiper
White connector
Maybe 8 open pined wires???

The 8 pins are the same length as the white connector with the wiper being like 12" longer.

What are the 8 pins for, possibly fuse box?

I'll have more after this. LOL

Do you have pictures of what you’re dealing with?

Did OHM provide any instructions along with the harness?

OHM provided no diagram etc, they're actually not available to talk right now, horrible timing.

It's being done by a Dsm pro and even he's a bit frustrated with it but he's gonna get it done, I'll just have to pay huge $$ because OHM doesn't give any install sheet, visual etc.

BTW, you need to pull the dash, the heater box and then pray you have insight into all this.

I’d try to help but without seeing or better understanding what you have, there’s not much else I can offer. I’m fairly surprised they don’t provide any install information.

Once you get it figured out, it would be great if you posted back up here letting everyone know what those 8 pins ended up being for.

Here's some tips from someone who has an OHM harness and paid a shop to install it.
Summer 2024 install here and after decades of doing things to cars, this was one of the roughest mods for a shop to do for you.

They'll need to pull your dash and your heater box, get ready for extra hours there.

I'd personally would've sent my factory harness to Caspers Electronics and had John make me a custom harness because in the end this took a long long time to get, then had costly costly issues with ZERO tech help. John would've done it 100% correct, they'd answer the phone in real time and the harness would've taken less time to build. I have a Casper harness in my GN, plug and play fired first crank, no issues and big labels to read.

OHM Harness will take at least 6+ months to get made, mine was about 7-8 months and that was after I had to get on my seller to look into this.

You won't get any harness mapping or printed install help, you better pay for the harness tags or your really screwed because....

OHM doesn't have a customer service that's worth mentioning. Out of the 4 emails I sent, 1 was replied too like a month later. The shop tried calling and they had me call...

Forget their phone number, it's a joke. It must be a fake to make internet customers think there's a possible way to talk to them. No real time help so you're on your own. A harness is a tough job to be alone on especially when the harness was made with issues.

If you're paying a shop to install this, I'd recommend you get prepared for at least an extra 5+ hours in labor to diagnosis harness issues. Mine was over $2000 in EXTRA labor, the fuel relay was wrong and the wideband connector was so jacked up they eventually just went from Haltech controller straight to Can Bus without using the harness. This is just a few things that I'll mention.

If you're on a budget or in a hurry, don't bother.

If you're doing this yourself and will need help, don't bother or make sure you have plenty of time and beer.

If you're pretty slick and pay for the white label tags, then get your meters out and test those wires.

If you're desperate because you're factory harness is toast and have a shop install this them get out the $ bag, in the end you'll be at least $5000 (this is the low end, mine was way higher) into this harness with extra harness labor diagnostics, then the shop labor to install alone will be many many thousands.

I know the harness is a detailed and hard thing to make, there's room here for this to be done better or at least have customer service help asap for customers if your harness mistakes are gonna causes customers issues.

I'll have Caspers as an option for us moving forwards since I know there's would've saved me time and a ton of money a day they'll talk to you on the phone when you need them.

That sounds like a really rough journey - sorry that’s how it ended up for you. But I think we all appreciate you returning here to close the book on the thread.

I hate to pry, but did you find out what the 8 wires were for?

Actually those are extra wires which was a positive, in case you wanna add things you get extra wires already loomed through the harness so that's nice. But a simple sheet with comments about some things like this would've been easy and nice.

It's NOT a POS harness, just the fact that is you have issues and you can't get them to talk you through them then it's a tough spot for customers who need their cars and paying shops who want you out.

Already talked with Caspers, they're going to step in and have a plug and play, clear directions and call option customer service. No more mega delayed customer service and then have to pay for shop hours to figure things out vs talking quickly on the phone. Even if they're $200 more you'll save time and money in the end and not create possible issues with shops and your car rotting there, this alone can be a big issue with customers and shops.

You'll need this, the OHM pin out sheet for the Haltech2500.

This will save you time and money, my tunes have been going horribly, I've wasted hundreds of dollars and months in time due to harness wideband connector not working, fuel pump isn't on DP05 like Haltech has it, just got this sheet, you'll want this if you go 2500.

I'll have more info for us Auto guys and Haltech soon. I've got the Haltech GPS sensor since 1G VSS isn't like the 2g.

Another harness issue, ISC plug isn't close to the sensor, at least 4" off.

Haven't heard back from them, I'm sure I'll be another couple hundred to have a shop wire this cleanly and correctly.

There isn't a male ISC connector end to create a plug and play adapter so it's additional soldering.

This set me back again on my remote tuner tuning the idle, the wideband connector dud already smoked $500 and the fuel pump being in the wrong pin and not having the diagram intial smoked another $500 in just day tuner rates.

Harness has potential, but is only for do it yourself customers and not an auto plug and play at all. Could've bought a Dsm with the extra harness issue fees to make this work, no joke.
