I wasnt getting any gas to start my car so i sprayed propane in the intake manifold and the engine started up and stalled so can anyone tell me why im not getting fuel to the cylinders. My fuel pump is working perfectly and pumping straight through the rail but the injectors are not spraying. My friend checked the efi fuel pressure relay and the volts were just jumping around, now does that mean its no good or what??? Please any advise will help, thanks!!!!!

if it stops at the rail change your injectors, also check the wiring from the injectors, I had same problem it would go to the rail and it was 3 injectors that were clogged to high hell. I'm sure it's just your injectors.

k well it smells like that and theres a small cap at the bottom left of the ecu thats a bit sticky im pretty sure that means its bad. And it looks like theres a small burn towards the top ti in between two white walls and net to the bottom of a cap that has 07c on it, but sorry hope i didnt confuse you but she i get a new ecu or is it cheaper to get rebuilt or what should i do?

how do i contact him for him to repair the whole ecu and will it be real expensive, how much if you know?

You can contact him through the phone number at the bottom of the above linked page or through his profile. http://dsmtuners.com/forums/member.php?find=lastposter&t=230312 The rebuild won't cost anymore than $150, where as any local parts distributor will want about $300 and your core.

well guys thanks for all the help i sent in my ecu to applied computer tech. in Illinois and the guy steve said it wasnt repairable. So i ordered and EPROM ECU for $295 including tax. So everything should be good to go when i recieve it. thanks guys

man that sucks, i wish i didnt have to buy a new one but i guess it happened for the best. So can anyone tell me how the eprom works. Im not really sure what its all supposed to do. I know you can get like a stutter box and comes ready for bigger injectors but what else does it do? Does it come pre programmed or di have to go somewhere to get it tuned. I also have S-afcII, can i still tune it myself with that?

Nothing changes until you get a custom chip to replace the factory one. Considering where you got yours it's unlikely that it's socketed so you will need that done before you can put a different chip in.

The SAFC remains your realtime tuning device unless you go the DSMLink route. The difference is that you don't make as big a set of corrections when you have a chip reprogrammed to your mods as you do not with a stock ECU.
