1g Leaking Antifreeze

I need help before i loss my mind.. I just finish my new 2.3 stroker built and im having a overheating issue with the car. I burd the system about 4-5 times and still having the same problem, yesterday i realized that is leaking antifreeze on the top of the water pump.. Its a brand new pump.. Could it be that is a bad pump? I dont wanna think that is leaking through the head gasket is a brand new MLS HG.. I look all around the head and is only leaking right by the pump, no where else... Can some one tell me what they think......

Normally if the water pump is leaking (due to bad/worn bearings) you will leak from the weep hole (on the underside of the pump below the pulley).
Get a good look while its running. Clean everything off. When it warms up you should be able to see it bubbling if the water pump isn't sealed right against the block. (take the upper timing cover off and get a good flashlight to do this.)
Hope that narrows down your problem a little bit.

I could see where is leaking from and is not from the bottom, is right on top. Right by where the head meets with the block.. I see a little hole on the top of the pump, but the leak is not from there.. I would have to remove the timing belt cover and clean the area and see where is coming from. I still hope is not from the HG I dont have any more money to spend

Help trying to figured this out...............

I need some opinions guys, please.. Could it be a bad HG or maybe the gasket didn't seal? Is a new hg and I only drove the car for 25 miles, is a new motor...
