Resolved 1g injector CEL 41

I have a 90 TSi AWD. I drive from home to the gas station and shut the car off to put gas in. The drive from home brings the temp up to normal operating levels. I start the car again and it is running horrible. It feels like a cylinder misfiring, CEL comes on.

Now every time I let it warm all the way up and then shut it off for 5-10 minutes it will run like that, it will stop once the car has cooled all the way down. The CEL code it is throwing is 41 which is injector. I am baffled on what the problem is.

Well the ECU is telling you that it's not seeing the injector when it heat soaks.

First step would be to identify which injector when it starts acting up by either disabling them one at a time with a datalogger or pulling plug wires to see which cylinder makes no difference. Then you can see if it's a injector that is opening it coil up when hot, failing injector resistor in the pack, a wiring/connector, or an ECU issue.
