1g gsx smoking after rebuild?

Hello, Im new to this site and finally got myself a dsm after a lil honda that couldnt handle the boost. Anyways Im in the process of paying off this 91 gsx that has a rebuilt engine and ive notice that it smokes like alot. Ive been readin that the rings havent settle in yet or the valve guides? Im lost. It has 200miles on the new engine. The mods are b16g, 3 to 2.5 exhaust with test pipe, greddy type rs bov and i think thats it? Everything else is completely stock. I will have the guy show me the receipt again. It has evo 9 pistons so the compression is raised a bit. Here is the vid of the car.

The oil in the turbo, intake and intercooler pipe is a dead giveaway. I've built many engines from the ground up without any smoking issues whatsoever. Take the downpipe off and check to see if there is any oil in the turbine housing or dump. Also check the turbo for any shaft play.
 
Man the car greets me with a big hello. (cloud of blue smoke) I rev it and no smoke. maybe if i tap the pedal and yea smoke comes out. after driving it and park it to idle i see nothing coming out. its like perfect. Once I start taking off then i see smoke but not alot of it. just a lil bit. kind of seems as if overnight something is leaking into the pistons and as soon as i start it up in the morning the smoke pops out. Like I said after driving it , it is no big of a deal. turbo has no shaft play. need to check the downpipe though. valve seals anyone?
 
Sounds to me like this thread is full of people that aren't breaking in their motors properly and the rings are glazing.

Boost has nothing to do with breaking in the motor. What is needed are several cycles of moderate acceleration up to 5-6K RPM, followed by (and this is the important part) engine braking down to 2k or so. It is the engine braking during deceleration that forces the rings out against the cylinder walls and allows the engine to find it's happy place.

Don't baby it. Don't redline it constantly either, but break it in like you plan on driving it after it's broke in. Change the oil and filter often the during first 1000 miles with cheap dino oil and a good filter (20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 is a good split), then switch to a good synthetic at 2000 miles. (Brad Penn, Valvoline VR1, Joe Gibbs XP7 or XP8, etc....stay away from Mobil 1 and other high-detergent/low zinc "consumer" oils).

BTW - Most of this takes place in less than the first 50 miles of driving. If you've babied the car or neglected to break it in properly, the performance will probably never reach it's full potential.

Yea. Im hoping its going away later on or something. if not i guess ill just change the pistons rings with the head off and replace the valve seals and start over. Im reading somewhere to remove oil pan and head etc. to install the rings.
 
Ok so here I am again and I finally had the time to pop out the exhaust/turbo manifold and saw what looks just like this,.. http://www.900saab.com/head8.jpg

the picture is from a saab but looks very identical to my problem. And the car doesnt really smoke in start up. More like when I start it up and after 1 min or so once it is warmed up smoke will start to come out. I dont see anything when i barely start her up. compression is 150 all across once again. Should I take her to a known shop instead for a diagnostic? I hope it aint the rings.
