1g gsx compared to 2g gsx

so basically i own a 2g gsx and and a 1g gsx. before i bought the 1g gsx i had the impression that the 1gs were a lot quicker and read all over this site that the 1gs dominate the 2gs. the thing is my semi stock 2g( stock turbo, hard ic pipes, intake, 190, exhaust etc...) is so much faster than my one 1g and my 1g has low miles and kept up to extreme maintence. in fact i feel the 1g doesnt pick up at all compared to the 98. i had my friend race me in the 2g and he beat me by a long shot. does anyone feel the same way or am i missing something?

From your profile it looks like you have less done to the 1g. So it would make sense.

a pretty much stock 1g vs a semi modded 2g 2g will win every time im sure

A 250hp 1g beats a 250hp 2g. A 350hp 1g beats a 350 hp 2g. They are a few hundred pounds lighter, and way better looking.

Stock for stock, the 2g has more power; 190 compared to 210. It's cheaper to mod the 1g though but the 2g deffinatly takes the visual department.

People say the 2g handles better from the suspension being better, but it's heavier by a couple hundred pounds.
Harder to work on a 2g under the hood. (less space)
More of them were made than 1g's so you see them all the time, like riced out mexiclips'

Both the 1g and 2g's have aspects that are better then the other, but stock for stock the 2g is faster simply because it has more power.
