I am in need of a kit or maybe I have to put one together myself. I need to go from the FPR to the tank. I have searched and looked around but the only thing I can find is kits that go from rail to FPR to stock return line. Anyone know of a place to buy a kit to go from the rail to the tank??? I spoke with STM and they said they are making one but I need one ASAP.

Do it all yourself :thumb:

It'll most likely be cheaper and you get the satisfaction that you did it all yourself.

True.

I guess I will just do it all myself. Who should I go with for the filter? I was thinking fuel labs 10 micron filter. I already have Aeromotive AFPR.

I spent forever taking off the stock filter. I hate that thing with a passion after the fight it gave me. No way I am putting another on. Besides I want a high flowing fuel system for when I decide to upgrade the turbo and injectors down the road.

Do it all yourself. You are just paying them to cut it to size and put the fittings on. You are going to have to do it for the return line anyhow. I am running a russel filter but have only had it on for about a month with only about 100 miles LOL. It came with -6AN fittings. I ordered SBR's kit and was highly disappointed when I got it especially for the price I wish I would have just done it myself.

Yea. I decided to do it all my self. So this is what it is all going to consist of. Tell me what you think. Aeromotive AFPR, Fuel Lab 10 Micron Fuel Filter, Stock Rail, Stock Injectors, Refurb Gas Tank, -6 AN SS feed and return line, new stock sending unit, and new wally 255.

You were wondering about the gas tank cleaning. When I replaced my fuel pump I just emtied the gas and threw a match in there, the little bit left in there and everything else, well lets put it this way, it was clean. But after the inferno I just used brake cleaner, seemed to work great!

ROFLROFLROFL:nono:

I started to put together a list of stuff I need for my fuel system and I came across the vendor ad from Fast Track Auto Services. It said contact them if I didn't see what I wanted. So I spoke with the vendor user name nikkeebabee. They put together a kit for my whole fuel system in 1 day. I will have it at my house by the end of the week. Kit includes all lines, fittings, fasteners, and fuel lab 10 micron in line filter. :D I already have a FPR but they offered to include that. Anyone wants something similar talk to nikkeebabee :thumb: awesome customer service.

I just took my gas tank to a radiator shop and they cleaned it and sealed it. Good as new.

After I bring the tank to a radiator shop for cleaning and sealing should I paint the outside of it? If so what kind of paint should I use, rustoleum? If so how many coats?

Upgrade your rail, injectors, and pressure regulator.... you will be happy

No you won't you'll be pissed you wasted $200 on a blinged out fuel rail when a stock one is good into the 9's.

Like mentioned above use the rubberized undercoating. Watch so you don't break the bolts for the tank in the body because its a pain to try and get them out and then even harder to put new ones back in.

The stuff other members have suggested looks like this:

Do not use 3m professional undercoating. I used it on my fender wells and it sucks. I got some new stuff from a local body shop that the guy recommended. I think it's that ^^ brand.

Alright thanks for the info. Any idea on how much it will cost for the radiator shop to clean up the gas tank?

Here are some pics of the kit I got from fast track

I'm back to give a few updates and ask a few questions. I got my parts car and dropped the tank. It is in fantastic shape, almost no rust. Soryy no pics. It will be going to the radiator shop this weekend to be cleaned. I'm still shopping around for a new sending unit. Dealer wants $600 for it. I think that is ridiculous. Anyway Ill be getting a new sending unit, and injectors along with everything. Question is, am I missing anything else in the fuel system? This is a list of what I have and what I have left on my list.

new fuel tank
new sending unit
new fuel pump
new -6 AN fuel lines
new -6 AN fittings
new injectors
new AFPR
new filter

How many o-rings do I need to buy for the injectors? Should I get new lower injector o-rings? Is there anything for the fuel rail I should get, that is being replaced as well?
