Resolved 1G Exhaust Manifold Stud Thread pitch?

Does anyone know for sure what the specs are on the exhaust manifold studs? 3 of mine are stripped out and I am looking at getting a helicoil kit to fix them. I thought they were like 8 X 1.25 or something I cant remember. Or better yet if you know of a place online that sells the kit send me a link to it.

what size drill bit did you use to drill out the holes to put the coil in....i have to do mine badly!!!

Check those guys out. Sent me a 1G kit for $28 shipped. Not too shabby, plus they were stainless also. They also have helicoil and retapping kits.

The HeliCoil tap has the drill size marked on it.

i have 4 or 5 on mine that are stripped...but i'm thinking maybe i should do them all, would it be a good idea to go with the 2g studs on a 1g manifold, the 2g studs i believe are a 10 mm and the 1g is a 8 mm, which would be better. 10mm for the strength or 8mm to not mess anything up????
