started the car up this morning and it was running really rough like it was missing a couple cyl's. checked spark and it looked like it was rarely firing on one of the coils. switched around the power/signal to the other pack and then the other coil started to miss, and now it wont turn over at all. so i assume that it was the control module/ignition or whatever u want to call it, picked up another one and now it looks like its firing correctly but still wont crank over. any ideas what else it could be?

89/90 laser turbo fwd. its got gas and i doubt it would be compression because it happened over night. it could still be spark related cause i was only able to check it while cranking which is kinda hard to see OMG

Now, does your car crank or it doesn't turn over? If its cranks but no start, its usually ignition related. if it doesn't crank, its either a dead bettery, bad starter, fuse/relay related. Even a bad CAS (Cam Angle Sensor) would cause a crank but no start condition. But in your paragraph, you said the car doesn't crank so I am a little confused.
