1G dsm rev issue

Ok so I cant get over 4k rpms while driving or in nuetral, that's it wont let me in any gear. Here are my main mods. 16G,FMIC,hard pipe,Gm maf w/maft v2.01,Have 43psi auto FPR (did 5 speed swap),450cc injectors and rebuilt ecm from ecmtuning, thats the main stuff I have tons more. Just as a fyi I did the usual changed fuel filter,boost leak test and leak/comp test all is well. Its almost like the car stutters at 4k I'm starting to think flat cam but with rollers how does this happen?

What was the last under the hood work did you do, befor you had this problem? I had ths same issue, and I belive mine was the ecu was leaking. And eventuly it wouldn't keep the car running, had to 2 foot the car home.

The last mod I did was the 5 speed swap the strange thing is is that it did the same thing with the auto trans. The guys @ ECMTUNING did my ecu for leaky caps and cleaned the board. Also its idle surging really bad when cold and today I drove it and while under boost it wanted to die did it once and that was it. Just a note I do have an exhaust leak at the down pipe.

It could be a bad knock sensor, or your engine is knocking.

ya I logged it and it says im getting somthing like 40+ counts how could this be im on stock boost at the moment. I guess it could be registering phantom knock if its bad ill change it out and see if it helps. When I bought the car and rebuilt the engine I didnt replace it cause it looked new but looks can be deceiving. I'm also going to change out all the sensors and the maf I have a 3" gm on there now with the maft.

Sounds like you've done everything in your ability to figure out the problem, how about getting a opinion from your local Mitsubishi mechanic? No one knows everything. Don't be afraid to pay $100 bucks and get the diagnosis and then perhaps you can fix it yourself.

I think I may have figured it out the closed throttle position sensor (is bad I think) I unplug it and runs fine plug it in it surges and everything. Looked everywhere that I can think of to buy a new one and cant find it. Can I run with out this plugged in?
