Hello all

Well I got my car back today from the shop. My friends helped me install a stripped down jdm 4g63T. All US electronics and intake on it. New act2600 too.

first
I have a check engine light on at idle and as soon as you give it gas the light goes away. Kinda like its related to the TPS? weird..

second
when putting car the into first gear, It sometimes pops out and you have to jam it in. Its almost as if something is blocking the path. It would only need like another 1/2 inch to click in. Its odd to explain. This also happens in second gear.

anybody have these problems before? any help would be cool.. thanks

George

Check for your codes with a multimeter.

Also, check to make sure your shift cables are aligned. I had a lot of problems with shifting (grinding gears, not being able to shift into reverse, etc.) because my shifter cables weren't aligned properly. If you want to make sure it isn't your transmission, you can try manually shifting it. That's how I found out my transmission was fine and it had to be the cables..
