1G CAS to 2G Harness

Those who've installed the 1G CAS in their 2G's, maybe you could help me out. I recently installed a 1G CAS in my 2G following Installing a 1g CAS in a 2g article, and the magnus pdf. With the engine running, when I disconnect the plug that goes from the 1G CAS to the CAS harness plug (going to the ECU) nothing happens, the engine just keeps running. But when I unplug the 1G CAS from the CPS harness plug the engine dies right away. Is that normal? Could anyone try theirs and let me know? Thanks.

To simplify my question some more, with the engine running:
1G CAS unlpugged from 2G CPS (harness side) = Engine dies
1G CAS unlpugged from 2G CAS (harness side) = Engine still running

Could anyone with a 1G CAS in a 2G 7bolt please try and let me know if the same thing happens with yours?

yep, that's supposed to happen haha. the connector plugged into the CPS supplies power to the 1g CAS

Why are you asking did you make the plug yourself? I knew mine worked because it ran I really wouldn't want to test it by unplugging things!
