1G 1g BOV question (vacuum port rotation)

I have a 1g bov and the nipple on the top is pointing in the wrong direction. Can I forcefully rotate the cap? Mine is pointing at the 7 o clock position and want it at the 5 o clock location.

No the top should be tightly crimped so that it doesn't leak.

Yes I thought it was unlikely but seemed odd there are 3 different variations of these BOV valves.
