1g bov from junkyard

WEll im thinking about goin to a junk yard and see if i can find some old 1gs that have their bovs still.. What tools will i need to take the bov out and what parts should i keep from the 1g?

if its got a 6 bolt in it that would be a good part to keep. bov and the heads

to take the bov off you need a 12mm wrench. It is a tough two bolts....jk Like the guy said before, the 6 bolt is a great part to have, or engine to have. Also, the throttle bodies are good to have since there are plenty of 2g guys that like the upgrade.

I got mine out of the junkyard for $2... The guys there have no clue what it is... I just told them it was a Thermostat housing..

Make sure if you are going to grab the TB the larger one is 91-94.

Intake manifolds are better from 1g's too I believe.

I'd grab on to a throttle body. There nice to have around esspecially if something goes wrong or for resale.

Hey I cant stand how much pick n pull tries to rip people off. They were going to charge me 25 dollars for the center piece off a 1ga eclipse because they said it was a headlight.

Haha i would just take everything i could thats actually worth selling or just useful to yourself.

I usually go for the BOV, TB, cams, the 14B if its in good shape and computers, headlights if they are nice and clear. Thats usually as far as I take it.

I would get the intake manifold, bov, the turbo (make sure you get the 14b in manual transmition 1st gens and not the 13g in automatic 1st gens), and the cams

Eh... its better than sitting there for the next 15 minutes while they try to figure out what it is and how to charge me for it.
