I want to get rid of my existing TiAL blow off valve and replace it with a Turbosmart dual port BOV (vents to atmosphere and also recirculates). my question is, since the Tial flange was welded on and the Turbosmart BOV is (or seems to be) alot smaller in diameter, what the hell am i going to do? it looks like im f**ked over because of the idiot who owned the car before me. what can i do to get the turbosmart bov to fit without having to buy all new piping which i have no money for? i hate morons who dont read up before installing things on their cars. is there any way to salvage the piping or do i have to keep the tial bov and stall and crash into curbs ruining my rims/control arms over and over? oh yeah and no, i dont feel like spending 250$ for a 3 GM MAF and translator, or 1000$ for a VPC. :mad:

do what i'm doing and make an adaptor by either buying new flanges and connecting them with 1.5 inch pipe and welding it up or cut out your own flanges from some sheet metal and weld them up like i did.....it sounds harder than it really is...... :dsm:

That new BOV you want will give you the same problems. It doesnt matter how much you vent or how little, you are still venting. To cure the problem you hate so much I would just get a nice BOV that dosnt vent. I would say a good 1g for a few bucks used.

You will need to just get a new pipe to do it correctly. You can hack them up but I hate doing it that way. If you do it rightr the first time then there isnt a second itme.

So you have no money to make the best BOV on the market work, but you plan to buy a 300 dollar BOV that won't solve your problem?

I'm lost.

wow, now that i have read all this i am completely stumped as to what to do. If i go for a 3" GM MAS, thats 200$ for the MAF translator, and if im lucky, 20$ for the MAS (junkyard), but then i also need intake piping, dejon GM pipe ~100$... now will i also need the friggin "Blow-Thru" IC pipe kit? cause thats ONLY another 149$ to 179$ ( i dont know what one i would have to get so it will fit) , which brings the grand total to 469$ - 499$ all to get my stupid TiAL BOV to work. now do you see why its not worth making it work??? the last thing i need is 500$ out of my pocket to fix a BOV cause the dumbsh*t before me wanted to be noticed. so now i ask for the most cost efficient way to fix this problem, however i will not go with stock 1g or crushed 1g BOV (dont ask why). ill use the greddy type S because i obviously have no choice. How much would that IC pipe be and how am i going to get it to fit (indy race cores - "race" FMIC) oh how i cant take this bullshat anymore... its bad enough i had to buy new rims and tires because of this jerkoff's BOV but now i gotta shell out more dough to not die while driving.

GM MAF - $20-50 junkyard/used
MAFt - $100-200 used or dejon/ramchargers
Blowthrough UICP - $20-149 custom or new
Intake pipe - $20-50 Home depot or dejon

$160 - $450

+selling 2g MAS $50-100

total= $100- 390ish

Option #2: go to POS BOV
buy for 300, sell tial for 100.. spend $200.

Option 1 please?

How much would that IC pipe be and how am i going to get it to fit (indy race cores - "race" FMIC) oh how i cant take this bullshat anymore... its bad enough i had to buy new rims and tires because of this jerkoff's BOV but now i gotta shell out more dough to not die while driving.

I am not sure what the hell youare talking about but I will do my best. If you are complaining about the money aspect then sell the car, you will be alot happier. The 1G is a great BOV and I have a feeling that you are nto pushing more that 20 lbs, but since you want to bi*** about money but need expensive thigs here we go. If you have a "racecore" then you can just get a MAFT and cut the pipe to put the MAF in it. All you will need is two 2.5 to 3.0 in couplers. You wont have to buy a pipping kit you do have a racecore right. The other option is to just find a decent BOV and mount how even you want then route back into the intake. You siad soemone could weld it so have them do it. You could sell the Tial and get a nice one and be out maybe 50 bucks.

I also dont see in anyway why a BOV made you replace tires and wheels. If that is your thought process then you will have a very expensive time in the DSM world. You also need to make sure that your profile is updated sothat people can help you better. All we knwo is that you have a GSX and that nothing is done to it, but you say you have a racecore and a Tial BOV. If you want help then help us.
