salmon arm,
Any one know why a 1g awd/t talon would be slower with a t3/t4 ar.62 at 22psi than a stock
14b with 18 psi

mods:

huge FMIC, 3" intake and exhaust, mass air translator, walboro

data logger reads both set ups are tuned well

What injectors are you running with? Are you logging? You're probably maxing out the stock 450s. Which pump? 255 ? afpr? Sounds like your fuel system isn't keeping up with your other mods.

my only guess is stock cams aren't doing it, what do you think????????????

The base pressure for 2g's should be set at around 44psi, do you have an afpr?

No definitely not, a lot of us are running big turbos with the stock cams, your problem is fuel related. What is the turbo's flow rate? I really don't see how stock 450s can support a turbo that size at 22psi.

FIRST OFF your problems isnt CAMS. its COMPLETLY FUEL RELATED u will need like some 650,660,700 cc injectors to run that big of a turbo, and tune the thing. IF YOU dont tune it your car will still be slower than when u had the 14b.

jeez thats some high fuel pressure WTF

At that base fuel pressure and with the pressure drops between the regulator and pump the relief valve is likely popping open at 22 psi. That 87+ psi at the pump just from base + boost not counting losses. Even the 255hp is going to have problems with that.

thanks everyone......

660's and lower base pressure helped

the 14b power still comes on sooner but when this one spools it really takes off.

just had to adjust my driving style alittle
