my foglight switch took a dump, and i dont want to hardwire/bypass it. there is a junkyard by my house that has 1g's but none with foglights. I'm thinking that the 1gA headlight switch is the same as the 1g fog light switches, except for the switch cover. I would much rather buy one from them for 5-10 bucks, and have it installed today then have to have one shipped. Anybody have any thoughts about it?

I'm certain the plugs are different, but try this:

Expect the orange ring to just about crumble if you try to take it off.

There's always lots of 1G fog switches on eBay, usually with the cluster surround and the headlight and dimmer switches, for about ten bucks.
