Flip-up Headlight Motors

my headlights are stuck up on my 91 talon and i was wondering where can i get new headlight motors, how much do they cost and are they hard to install because i got the chilton eclipse repair manual for 1990-1998 and it also covers talons and they dont even mention the headlight motors in there or at least when i looked for it for a good hour or so.

Try some wd-40 on the moving parts

my driver's side just doesn't work anymore. is ebaymotors the only place to find decent motors?

Wow, I have never once heard of anyones flip ups failing due to the motor.


Can you raise and lower them manually ?

i tried manually lowering them down but nothing seems to happen and when i turn my headlights on or off i dont hear like a whizzing sound like my sisters supra does.

Take the moving arms off the motors, theres 1 arm per motor, have someone flip them up and down to see if the motor is doing anything. I have a spare headlight motor and my work, Ill let ya know what side it is if your interested tomorrow.

my drivers side can be pushed\pulled up and down, but turning the light on just fires my light at the ground. i have to get out and pull the light housing up.

That sounds like a dead motor to me, I'll let ya know which side my spare is tomorrow. Or ya can try EbayMotors, The wanted ads on here, or DSMTrader, but the trader is well known for getting scammed.

will a 90 mitsubishi headlight motor fit in my 91 eagle talon? or do i have to do some custom work? i know they are basically the same car but just makin sure it fit.

hey my passenger side headlight motor spins but the headlight still doesnt go down but the driver side is still not spinning and it also is still stuck up. any help on what i should do to the passenger side motor or headlight? also where would the headlight motor arm be? i dont see anything sticking out by the motor?
