Okay, so I have searched for this on this site and dsmtalk. I found few vague posts, and they were on how to swap a full longblock.

What I have is a 1993 Eagle Talon TSi Automatic AWD 7bolt, obviously. I finally spun my rod that was hanging in there for so long. I was going to get a full JDM 6bolt motor but the local importer is fisting. Decided on SBR's 6bolt stock rebuilt shortblock. So what i need to know is what I need to make a 6bolt shortblock go into my 1g 7bolt.

From what I gathered:
I need a new flywheel/flexplate, 6bolt? (I'm still not sure how auto's torque convertor/flywheel setup is, but I will find out when I drop it.) Do I have to find one specific to autos? Will I need a Torque Converter?
Will my auto mount up to the engine, if the engine was originally from a manual?
The motor mounts will be the same?
What about the oil pan? I doubt SBR includes an oil pan. Will I need a 6bolt oil pan?
Timing components? I have no idea if they are the same or not, will I need new belts/pulleys/tensioners?
Does my head fit up to the block? Is the 1g 7bolt heads restrictive like the 2g 7bolts? Are the bolt sizes the same?
Umm what about sensors and wiring?
Anything else I'm forgetting? I'm getting a list of everything I need quickly, so I can get this all ordered. It sucks trying to find a ride to work everyday.
Thank you!

Okay, so I'll work on this one myself! haha But I'll keep posting in case anyone else needs some info.

From what I gathered, all I need is a
Flexplate/driveplate, 6bolt. Will get an OEM for like 30 bucks.
Timing belts hydraulic tensioner, 6bolt.
Balance shaft tensioner, 6bolt, or just BS remove kit.
Timing belt cover, can find at a junkyard.
6 bolt Oil pan
From what I've found my 1g 7 bolt head will fit up to a 6 bolt block and the bolt sizes are the same.
Motor mounts will be the same, a/t transmission will bolt right up to the block.
I will have to remove the dowel pin probably from the flywheel/flexplate area on the block.
Okay I Think that is everything needed to swap a 1g 6 bolt block into a 1g 7 bolt a/t.

On that note, I have recently found KarKing , on eBay. For 1200$, I could have a completely rebuilt longblock w/timing. 200 shipping. The whole swap will be about 500+ less then the SBR shortblock, and I can't find any reason not to go with KarKing. In all my research they seem reputable. And bottom line reasoning I'm poor, so KarKing it is.

All I need to swap in a long block,
6bolt oil pan (not incl.)
6bolt flexplate/driveplate
6 bolt timing cover
and yeah it'd be that easy I hope.
I still am unsure about some of the sensors and wiring, I probably won't find out til I get it all here.

Let me know if I'm missing anything! Hopefully this'll help someone out someday haha.

Well I figured I'd post an update.

I've been extremeing on my car the past 2 days straight. Just about got it running again. Got my longblock from KarKing! It looks great.
Here's a few of the pics of the engine!

One more thing i forgot to mention, that you'll need for the swap.
Is the two "adapter plates" that go in front and behind the flexplate. They cost 15$ a peice, and the driveplate was 40, all from a chrysler dealership.

Okay, it now appears my oil filter housing/oil cooler, will not bolt up to the 6bolt block. the 6block is much longer, I can only get the left two bolts to line up, then the rest are off like a good third-half an inch... Anyone else encountered this? I guess i'll have to pick up one of those too..

Can I just slot my bolt holes in my housing out some, and on the gasket?? It's a tight fit but it might work..

Edit: Nope the 6bolt is longer, i'd have to do a lot of extreme work to stretch that out. I'll see what some junkyards have to offer..
Weird i didn't come across this in any of the other swap threads i've read.

Nice looking longblock :rocks:

You need a 6-bolt oil filter housing for that. You can try and find one, if you need a new one give us a call.

Thanks, Cris - Kar King Auto

Thanks for all your help chris! I found one localy, hopefully I can get it within the next day!
And yes, It is a nice looking block!!

Good luck with everything! It looks like you figured everything out. I did the swap out and used the 6bolt block and the 2g intake so I got the better o2housing and other things with the 2nd gen intake. I had trouble w/the flex plate. Good job buddy!

Another thing you will not have to worry about the oil filter bolt coming loose on the 7bolt.

Thanks!
haha, Yeah that's happen to me a few times, didn't know it was specific to 7bolt oil filter housings.
