Im not understanding this correctly.. I need some help

I understand a 6bolt and 7bolt no problem...

I am confused when it comes to putting a 6bolt in a 2gen...like I did...

When im buying parts like FMIC, or TURBOS, do I buy them for a 1gen because of the 6bolt, or do I buy them for 2gen because of the body.

I need to figure this shit out quick, and fully understand it because I need to have my Evo3 and FMIC ordered by today, and Im still confused on which to get.. WTF

Evo3 w/ 2g install.... Or no install kit needed...

FMIC for 95-99 gsx or FMIC for the 1g body because of the 6bolt.

Confused as hell just looking for an explanation been, confused bout this for awhile, and Im not about to order a FMIC that doesnt fit, or a EVO3 turbo that doesnt fit.

Thx guys, appreciate all that can help. :toobad:

The turbo will fit. This turbo bolts right up to your exhaust manifold. It's a mitsu flange. You will want to get a Stainless Steel Oil Feed Line for a 1G.
You will need a Oil Return Line for a 1G.
When ordering your FMIC, you will order for your 2G. You may want to keep your 2G Throttle Body Elbow depending on the piping for your FMIC.
These motors are almost identical. Remember that. The biggest difference is the body styling.

Well it just depends on what you swaped between the two. the front mount should be ordered for the 2g otherwise the intercooler will not fit in the bulper correctly but the rest should be ordered for the 2g to unless it is internal motor parts. that is my understanding to the motor is basicly the same and everything bolts up pritty much the same to my understanding as far as the turbo and all but i dont have a 6 bolt and never have done the swap but im planning on doing it. :dsm:

 PHewwwww, thought id never understand it, But I do now. I didnt want to order them until i was 100% I was ordering the right stuff....

THanks guys!

So my turbos done now.

One more qestion fellas.

The FMIC, I want one that fits and takes up the entire front grill of my 97 bumper, but I dont want my mechanic to have to cut or remove shit... Is this being picky? Or can I find one like that?

Any you know of that you can recommend that fit my criteria?

im not sure there may be one but i think most of them require to trim the opening so that it is shalower but like i say there may be one out there hopefully someone else can help you out there. sorry :dsm:

Okay let's stop..... Hammer time....

*cough* sorry...

Are you buying this FMIC NOW, or Later.....

Alright. Go and get a pen and paper.
If you're ordering the turbo through Forced Performance order this from them.

1) - Turbo Gasket Kit - includes: turbo to manifold gasket. O2 housing gasket. Possibly a downpipe to O2 housing gasket. 2 Oil Return Line gaskets.

2)- Evo3 16G - includes: turbine/compressor housing and center section. (this is how it comes, I'm just explaining it to you.)

3)- 1G SS Oil Feed Line - This is just the feed line

4)- 1G Oil Feed Line Fittings for turbo and oil filter housing - They will know exactly what you need.

This is what you need to order. Nothing else. Got it?

But why buy all those seperate dude..

The 2g kit has almost if not all of those INCLUDED!??

Ok I might be missing somthing, but if hes going to go to a 16g, Shouldnt he be looking into a better fuel system to...?

My fuels fine... I have 860cc , and 190walboro....

Although im almost 100% sure im doing a 255 upgrade.

With the install kit you're buying a J pipe you don't need. You're spending an extra 75 dollars for nothing.
I'm saving you money.

But in the install kit, is all the oil linning all there? ALL the required oil linning? Ill sell the xtra J pipe to my friend whos upgrading.

Thats why the upgrade kit is the best option for me.... I was also gonna buy the evo3 exhaust mani and thats a seperate purchase...

Minus the extra J pipe, do you think this kits alright?

Mach V.
It's a 1G Oil Return Line.

It's not called anything else.

DS Motorsports sells it as well.

I already have upper/lower hard IC piping though... Or do I need greddys?

And are you talking about the 7'' 725$ kit?

Your pipes you have now, are for your sidemount IC. If you upgrade to a FMIC, chances are you'll need new piping.
