1997 Motor in a 1995 GSX

I'm helping a buddy out, he picked up a 1995 GSX that cranked walked. He also picked up a motor from a 1997 and wants to drop that in. I know the engines are pretty much the same besides the CAS. What do I need to do to put the 97 motor in the 95? He also has a 1g CAS, would that be the easiest way to go about this? He is still on the STOCK ECU.

you just need to rewire the 91 cas or buy and adapter and swap the ignition wires and the injector triggers.

Thanks! Thats what I was thinking needed to be done. Just wondering if there is any side effects to doing this. Do I need to swap spark plug wires?

yeah thats what i was referring when i said ignition wires. and for side effects u might get a random misfire but thats all.
