All Stock 1995 Eagle Talon TSi. odometer reads 74k Miles , i had my brother and some of his friends look at it before i bought it they said it looked good, but there was a good amount of rot. so i bought it for $1500. Right after i bought it i replaced the rear left brake rotor and pads. bought myself a nice pair of Tires for the stock front rims because they had like no tread left.i think the measurements for them are 205/215/R16. last thing i did was bought a new spectre air filter and 2 new high beam bulbs for the headlights. went to go get the car inspected and it failed for a bunch of things ill list them

-Rot in the Right and Left strut tower ***
-Rot in the floor supports
-Rot in the rocker panel
-Rot in the radiator support***

After it failed i still had some money to spend so i bought a brand new radiator support from a buddy off of one of his Eclipses. and i bought like 12 square feet of steel plating to do some welding.

10/05/12

Finished welding the strut towers***, then moved onto removing the rotted out radiator support. i got 90% of it off but the part that is bolted onto the frame in the middle was still on. We started undoing the bolts, got one out no problem but on the second bolt the whole metal piece spun around fast and smashed into my radiator, which started leaking pretty fast.*** pulled the hoses off of and pulled out the leaking radiator.

10/7/12

Ordered a new radiator From Ebay (hopefully not a bad decision) for $113. Picture shows a full metal, OEM size radiator for a cheap price, and im low on money so i couldnt buy a better one.

Pictures of the new radiator will be up once it comes in.

start here ->DSM 4G63 Maintenance Guide - DSMtuners (no mods after this is done)

99% of the guys here including myself would bash and talk sh** to you if you switch from a 2GB talon front bumper to what you have in you avatar pic.

OEM body parts look way better and if you decide to get rid of the bumper i would be more than happy to buy it from you :)

Sounds and looks should be the last of your priorities in a car specially on a Dsm.

Thanks for the advice, I have been reading the maintenance guide and plan on checking everything that is on it once my car passes inspection. Why are most people on here against aftermarket Body kits? i defenitly agree that some of them do look outrageous but there are plenty of bumpers that look good. i was thinking this one Eagle Talon Extreme Dimensions Duraflex Fiberglass Sensei Front Bumper - 101612 by Extreme Dimensions

to me it looks kind of like the OEM eclipse bumper with fog lights

If EVERYONE is against this then i might do an eclipse conversion because i really dont like the Talon bumpers.

-Alan11 i would defenitly sell you my bumpers if you really want them. i have the 1995 talon bumper and the 97-98 bumper ill put up some pics soon.

Most people on here, including myself, just love the clean look of the stock eclipses, let's face it it's what brought us here in the first place. But honestly who cares what everybody else thinks, its your car, you should feel entitled to do whatever you want with it. Don't worry about what others will think, if you like the look then you should go with it.
BTW New Hampshire FTW! Brothers of rot and rust.

Yea dude ill be in New Hampshire the whole time i have this car, If i end up seriously building this thing i am probably going to get a jeep or a ranger for winters because i dont want any more rot than i have, besides its only FWD so winters wouldnt even be that fun.

and thanks for the comment i think im gunna get that bumper i posted earlier

good luck man, I do agree with the "its your car do what you want" thing. But I will say this, leave the spoilers for the RWD cars because they actually need them; on a fwd it decreases your performance because its lifting your front end up (only with adjustable spoilers, non adjustable's usually do nothing) and you need that bi*** planted on the pavement, In my opinion go with the eclipse spoiler if anything because there just damn sexy.:thumb:

I had no idea that spoilers even did anything haha. Thought they were just for looks.

ill check out what an eclipse wing looks like on a talon because i agree they look great on eclipses.
