I have a 94 Eagle Talon DL 5-speed. I bought the car last summer and it was not a waste of money. But the only bad thing is that the engine has over 150,000 miles on it and the altanator was replaced 3 times. But that is not the point, I want to know if I should just rebuild the engine which is a 4G37 1.8L, or if I should just go ahead and buy a new 4G63T engine from The Dsmgraveyard??

Any suggestions would be helpfull. :thumb:

4G37 would be tons cheaper... and I've seen 4G37's with over 300k miles on them that are still running alive very well.

But I did see a DL with the 4G63T in it but you better have all of your pants pockets lined with lots of green to do this task. It aint cheap to do a complete conversion.

You'd be better off in finding another DSM that is a turbo DSM. Then you can just mod the existing setup up that won't put you in debt row too bad.

Good luck-DSM

+1 on saving up for a good turbo dsm. the 4g37 is a very reliable motor and it would be best to have a DD instead of a project waiting for the next paycheck
