1994 eagle talon radio tape not saving memory

Hi sorry iam still new at this. I was wonderg if any one can diagnos my problum. I have a 94 talon with am/fm with tape player. I cant set the time. Well i can but it just restarts to 1:00 every time i turn on the car. All my prsets will be errased and it will go to am by defalt. It works great if car is running but as soon as i turn it off i can see on the screen the time it fades slowly away to nothing till i turn on the car and boom every thing is reset. I loom the the fueses they are all go what could it be?

It sounds like ## constant 12v source is not connected or may have a short in it

^+1. I agree. There's no power going to the radio memory circuit. Recheck the inside "room" 10A fuse with an ohmmeter (looks are deceiving). If good then check for no power there and at radio red-black wire.

Ok i took the radio out and checked all the connections and there all snug. Nothing seams lose. Also when my radio is on fm the like a loud constant beep tone on any radio frequency under 107.00 some thimes it real loud other times i can listin to 106.3 with out sound thats not supposta be there. Real weard

Make sure the metal case is grounded.

How do i check that. I know its screwed in good

If it's screwed into the car's metal it should be ok. To test use a multimeter and make sure it's 0 ohms resistance between the radio case and any car metal that's connected to battery negative (ground).
