This is what it looked like when we pulled it home. Not to bad and everything came with it. Also the only real issues were getting the engine and trans back in order and it has a lot of rot... I will upload more shortly. The repair/build has been fairly well documented along the way. Mostly fixing rust and body issues.

Cut the bad pieces out to replace. I purchased left and right rockers from Steve Miller. The section where the axle attachment point is from the previous photos was the biggest concern. Actually had enough from the purchased rockers to repair this car and another 1g laser.

Let the sanding and body prep begin.

Also, another score were the evo enkei wheels in the pictures. A different friend wanted his newly acquired and powder coated rpf1s on his evo and needed 2 tires, which I had. He traded me these wheels for 2 90% tread tires...

Actually Tractor/Implement paint. Massey Ferguson Grey. Its only single stage but it is very cheap and extremely durable.

Primed. Bottom color next.

Massey Ferguson Grey on the bottom.
Satin black on top... coming right up.

This black is also rust-oleum tractor/implement paint. Single stage with the proper hardener and such. Laid down very nicely!

The final color combo... Turned out very nice.

Love it. My second ever awd dsm was Gray with a black top. So they always have a special place in my heart. Love the black leather interior!

Thanks! The interior was actually found in a 1gb eclipse that was just stored in a garage. The factory gray interior seats in the lasers are... not great.

Final product. We have since purchased a front lip and 1g eclipse side skirts for it. They were installed this past weekend. Once I get some current photos I will upload them.

Note: this is actually my wife's car we are building.

I also wanted to show you all that this thing along with my white laser in the final picture made it from western PA to the dragons tail and back. No issues, besides oil consumption...!!

An absolute must. I had my 2ga talon down there in 2014. What a blast!

Apparently, these cars are seldom seen on the Dragon's Tail. With 2 of us in 1g DSMs at once we had so many comments on them being there and the old "I haven't seen one of these in forever, awesome cars guys"

Also painted the black bar below the rear tail lights and center piece. As well as paint matched the center piece.

Next we had to get the gloomy clutch replaced. It had some sort of Rhino-pac clutch.
We put a Competition clutch stage 3 into it. It is a but much for a FWD but it was on sale from Extreme PSI
