General 1990 ECU in a 1991

I have a 1991 laser with a non-eprom ecu and was wondering if I socket my 1990 eprom ecu will it work in the 1991 laser?

I think it will work.. I need to change the directions around because I want my 1990 ecu on my 1991 laser.
