18x8 w 40mm offset

Hello all! I am the proud owner of a 1g dsm-91 Eagle Talon tsi to be exact. Looking to put 18s on her but the ones I like only come in 40mm offset. I know people have successfully put 18x8 w 38mm offset on their rides buy couldn't find anything regarding a 40mm offset. Plan on doing yellow konis w coil over conversions along with the rims. Not trying to slam the car on the ground just close the wheel well gap. Does anyone see any issues running 40mm offset w 235x45 18 tires? Thanks people in advance for your input.

I think the 235/45 will rub. May consider 235/40 instead.

18s are too big, its a 1g, 17 or less. I 've had a 9" wheel on with no rubbing, wheels spacers and trimming.
