18"s with 205/40s on a 1g?

Hi!Im like most dsm'rs i want bigger rims than what i have.Iv reaserched on wheel offset, but havent found much if 18s rubb..I already know about the "loss of hp"and "speedometer"factor.the only reason im asking about 18s is that i found a good deal on the style i want.The offset is +40 i believe..tx

18's with 225-40 fit fine.

I have a similar question, sorry to hijack. I found a kick ass deal on wheels off a 2G. They are 18x7.5 Konig Absolutes and the offset is a mystery, but I got all 4 for 360 bucks . The car he bought had them on already so he isnt sure and Ill measure them when I get home. I have GC coilovers on Koni's that I will put on with the wheels but I need to know what offset will work with these wheels or if they will fit at all on a 1G AWD. If not I can always sell them and still make money thats the only reason I bought with out knowing of they will fit.

Any info would be great, casue I am not much for wheels, but the price was right.

I hesitate to respond to 1g fitment questions but there were a few guys that posted their setup here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91935&highlight=tire+tech+article

Sounds like +38mm is a good offset for up to 245's on 1g's (as it is on 2g's).

I was gonna run +42 w/18X7.5's on a 1g. Should work just fine. I would go with the 225/40 Tire combo though
