Well on an AWD it would be a bad idea (due to weight and diameter differences), but on a 2WD vehicle I can't think of anything off-hand.

In my opinon the pros will be if you have a wide bodykit on it will look really good. The cons will be that ride will suck. The different rim size are mainly used in rear wheel drive cars like the Corvette, etc. I always say DARE to be different.

It would mainly be just for looks, I dont see any handling increasment, will most likely make it handle worse. Doing this on an AWD is a good way to say good by to the differential.

Yea I have heard that it decreases the handling but why? Why does it work on RWD and not on others?

Because the RWD cars suspension is built for those rims. You dont see a RWD car that came with same size rims throughing different size rims on just because its RWD. The corvette was built to have those different size rims. Look at all the car builders like foose, they usually redo the entire suspension when they change the rims.

two different size rims front and rear on an AWD would eventually mess up the center diff if I am thinking correctly as the rear wheels will be spinning faster than the fronts... or am I over thinking this?

True, but he doesn't have AWD. The question should be what are the drawbacks of running huge rims?

Well we know that having different size rims in terms of the diameter are bad for an awd but could you do a staggered fitment? Say like an 18x9 in the rear and a 18x8 in the front. Seems like it would work but I dunno.

Just noticed he is fwd... I dunno, I don't think it would look quite right, but it's your money, as long as both front rims match the same diameter...

i put different size tires before on my fwd and it handled sloppy around corners and i corner hard sometimes and on a empty road I used to always hit I almost lost control with bigger rear tires Z( smaller fronts ) not good idea...

well lets think about this. im guessing the wheels will be the same width and offset. 18''s in the front and 19's in the back. im also guessing youll be running the same size tires (we'll say 235-35-18/19) and since your car is a fwd i would see no problems in doing that unless youre into handling (which im guessing youre not since you wanna run 19's) but for day-to-day driving it would be a-o-k
