10 second car? Heck, its possible to have a 9 second street legal car even! I read about a 9 second supra in turbo performance (i think it was this mag) that was a street driven car. I can tell you this though, it sure had one big @ss turbo if ya know what i mean. I thought it was sweet.

BTW you seem so confident that the only reason he hasn't ran better times is because he chooses not to, for the sake of his parts. I tend to think that's less than truthful. Do you really think that he can't afford to break parts, even once every few race days? I think if he could he would beat on it at least once, just to set a new record for himself.
Since when? There are cars running a lot faster than 9s that are street legalOriginally posted by stockpgl
no its not possible to have a 9 second street legal car.
Depends on where you live. In Berks County Pa we dont have emissions and a careful review of the PA state inspection book says that as long as your exhaust is muffled you are good to go. So I dont need a cat either. Some southern states barely even have inspection. So please limit your posts to things that you actually know about thanksOriginally posted by stockpgl
any modification to the exhaust is illegal, espicially the converter, even if replaced with a "50 state legal" hi flo cat that WILL pass emissions its illegal.

Im not buying that sorry. You think the federal government would allow so many exhaust companies to exist if you couldnt do ANYTHING to you exhaust. Come on now there is so many loop holes in that statement it just doesnt hold up. Are you saying that EVERYONE that has an aftermarket exhaust on their car is in violation of federal law? What about exhausts that are CARB certified? Cite your source and you will get an apology until then I say you are FOS.Originally posted by stockpgl
actually federal law which overrides ANY state law states you cannot legally modify the exhaust on a street driven car
The guy started the thread to talk about Magnus' 10 second package. From experience, I can say that to get into high hp numbers(over 400whp), you need to spend alot of money to do it right. I've put more than $15k into my car including the motor swap and labour, so I can see $17k being reasonable for what they claim the ET's will be.

I dont really care if youre "buying it" or not it doesnt matter, i know the laws. With your reasoning why does the goverment allow guns to be made, and sold at places like walmart since so many people get mudered. Also po's dont enforce lots of laws because its pointless. the police can pull you over for doing 1mph over the limit and ticket you but why dont they? its a waste of time. Anyways I am and was required to know state and federal laws so think what you want.

You know nothing. Only populated areas are under close regulations. Not the whole country.
