16g water return line

im in the process of putting in a small 16g and i purchased the water lines for a 14b like vfaq stated because i didnt have any.... the U shaped water line im assuming is the return... but when its on it loops to pointing straight up....... basically my question is ON my car (99gst), not the lines on the turbo, what line is the water feed and what is the water return, im pretty sure the higher one is feed and lower one return, i just want to clarify, and is the U shaped line coming off the 16g suppose to loop around and point straight up?

On my 99GST there is one off the block, and then the one that connects to the oil cooler, down by the housing if thats what you were looking for. I would think the cooler would be the feed side, and the block the outlet.
