charlottetown,
Does the stock 2g o2 housing bolt up to a evo3 16g? Also is it worth it to upgrage to an evo o2 housing or will a heavily ported 2g flow about the same??

Yes, a stock 2g o2 will bolt up to it. Is the Evo3 upgrade worth it? Probably not. Unless you found a good deal on one. A heavily ported 2g will work just as fine until your ready to go tubular (if you plan to).

WTF an evo316G is a wonderful upgrade compared to a stock t25. If you plan on making ~300 whp, the 16G is perfect for the job. A well ported 2g o2 housing will flow just as much as an evo3 o2 housing. Yes, the actual housing can be hogged out larger than a 2g, but the power difference will be negligable and IMO is a waste of money if you have a 2g o2 housing. Just port it well enough and you will be fine. Also, make sure you read up on how to properly port a turbo so that you can avoid boost creep.

ROFL Of course the Evo3 turbo is worth the upgrade, I meant the o2 housing. There are alot of guys running fast on a ported 2g, which is what I run. No need to spend the money on an Evo3 o2 housing :p as like blcknspoolin said, the difference is negligible.

Thanks guys, I just ordered a downpipe today so i will probably take my o2 off when I install in and port it. Im still running the t-25 but i figure I might as well port the housing now while i have everything apart. Also would it be realistic to port the wastegate exit on the turbo with it still on the car? Im not sure if boost creep will be an issue for me yet but I was thinking that it would be worth the time now instead of reinstalling everything and finding i have creep.

Also the tool i have acess to, to use to port is basicly an industrial electric dremmel. Its a big green sucker. With the right porting bit should this thing work? I have used it to grind through the sleeves that were stuck on my transmission shift pins pretty easily, but I think they were brass.

T25. Boost creep is never an issue with a t25 is what you are saying?

boost creep can happen to any turbo. If you are going to install a 3" turboback, I don't see why you wouldn't get boost creep. Also, if you have a die grinder / tool that fits a 1/4" shank/collet, then you will be able to get a carbide burr to port. Stones take forever, but are good as a second step to smooth down what your carbide burr left behind.

Where can I pick up a carbide burr?? Home depot or somwheres along those line? And how much do they run $ wise usually?

Can happen, yes. I have never heard of anyone experiencing creep with a T25 that was turbo design related. I and several others used to run ours with NO exhaust and still no creep. To be honest, I don't even know if porting the T25 will net you much gain, just having a good flowing exhaust will help the most.

Ryan - I speak from my own experience. Granted, I only had the t25 a couple weeks until I upgraded to the evo316G (that's a WHOLE different story) when I upgraded to a larger turboback exhaust, but I did experience a lot of boost creep. I do agree with you, however, that porting a T25 is pretty much useless.

Islander - Finding a good 1/4" carbide burr is like picking teeth at your local hardware store. Easiest way to purchase them is through internet sites. A quick google search will lead you to several sites that sell these bits for ~15 bucks.
