check out my mods.... Installed everything and everything is tightened down perfectly it just wont make boost for some reason. My 14B was faster than my 16g... when i get into boost it feels like it is boosting just ever so lightly for some reason, i am reading 14psi but why is it so much slower than it was with the 14b? Sounds like it is boosting, acts like it is boosting, just no power at all. Why is 14psi on a 14B ridiculously fast compared to 14psi on a 16g?

What size is your injectors for this could be the one of the factors in this equation since you went from a smaller turbo to a larger one.

You might have a serious mis-match there and others will chime in on to pin-point this one down for you.

14B has a smaller compressor wheel than the 16G, which did spool faster.

Check to see if your wastegate rod fell off the flapper arm, letting it just hang open all the time? That is pretty common actually. If not that then, is it a used 16g? Possibly the wastegate passage(if it is internal wategate style) inside the exhaust housing is all cracked and not sealing off very well? You may have been had on that turbo? I just pulled off my original 14b to replace it with an evo3 big 16g and it spools faster and feels like it makes way more horsey's than my 14b at the same psi. Go figure? It is exactly backwards of your problem!

I know you've tightened everything down, but it doesn't mean you dont have a leak somewhere. Have you done a blt yet? What all did you take off when you replaced your turbo? Do you have a fmic or the stock smic?
