Thinking of swaping out my stock turbo for a 16g, stainless piping, fmic, greddy bov, manual boost controller, and boost guage. I can also get my hands on a eprom ecu, what do you guys think? I can get all that for 500 bucks, as long as the 16g doesnt have shaft play.

Compared to stock setup, how much more efficent will it be?

Your power output won't increase much with those mods. Don't get me wrong, you should get the turbo and fmic, but until you improve your fuel system you ant turn the boost up enough to make any real power.

ive already got a walbro 255lph in the tank, probable swap the injectors and add an adjustable fpr

But what about a wideband and your choice of a tuning device to control everything you're doing, including the injectors that you might get? It's nice to have en eprom ECU, but what route will you go with that? Burn your own chips, ECMLinks, something else? Any exhaust mods?

You should look over the Upgrade Path as it has lots of good information and also puts all your options in one convenient place to compare.

i just wonder if this turbo im getting is a knock off ebay or a legit 16g

If you aren't sure on the quality of the turbo, stick with the 14b, get some injectors and burn a chip with your parameters. The mods you listed & the availability of the 255 pump will allow you to run more boost safely. 550's and a matching EPROM setup will have your car idling/performing like stock with no extra tuning. Good luck!
