just curious how much is too much side to side shaft play when the turbo is detatched from the car as in not even in it

As long as it's not leaking oil or hitting the housing it should be alright. Assuming this is an mhi turbo?

its a tdo5 evo turbo the guy selling it says theres some side to side shaft play anyway to find out if its not worth anything?
