150 amp alternator

I just ordered one of these. Anyone ever seen or used one of them?
1992 Eclipse High Output 150 Amp Alternator $172 : eBay Motors (item 270462312066 end time Mar-26-10 14:47:31 PDT) I ordered it because at 9500 rpm my voltage drops to 11.3v and my injector duty cycle is at 100%. I have RC 1000 cc, wally 255hp intake with rewire feeding a sx external pump with rewire.

You can get a 160amp saturn alternator for $140 shipped right now. I know it's not a direct bolt on, but it doesn't take much to make work.

This place SUCKS!!!! I ordered one and the bearings were bad. Sent it back and got another. This time the voltage regulator is bad. I tried to contact for a refund and he told me I was SOL and that he would offer a 50 core refund for a return. He said I was breaking the post or something. I know he was BSing. I put the stock one back in and its fine. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to install an alternator.

Save yourself a migraine and just send it back and dont use this company. Their products and customer service are garbage!

I just bought a used 140 amp 1g alternator through the classifides. It seems to work pretty well. It was reman'd by Ace Alternators.

Ordered a 200amp from there, comes with 3 year warranty. Great service and they can even color the stator


Direct Drop in, no wiring involved just have to upgrade your positive cables like any other high amp alternator would require. I also recommend re-doing your grounds.

There is no modification to the connector or fuse box necessary.

just got the alternator yesterday and it looks good. Track opens april 4th so I will install before then. I will let all of you know how well it works.

Installed alternator today and all went well! Bolted right in. Start up was 14 volts at idle. With both pumps,fan and all lights it droped but went right back to 14volts.

Need to do an oil change and change to plugs. Then we can lean on it and see what we have at 9500 rpm. I am still going to the track this saturday(1/8 mile) and will let you all know how the alternator holds up.

Did you upgrade the wire? I plan on doing that with my Galant when I change my alternator out.

I'm intrested in this too. Ace sells a 140 amp unit for $145 with a 1 year warranty, and I'm going to order one soon if anyone has had good luck with them.
