Ran 18 pounds of boost on t-25 with 110 octane and gauge stayed real steady on 18 lbs all thru 1/4. when i got home put in 92 octane and at 18 lbs gauge was wiggling a little so went back to 16 lbs. I know this is a lot of boost but I started the night with 15 lbs and only ran 15.4. got faster as i turned it up and logger looked good.My vacuum at Idle is only 12 tho. why doesn't my boost drop as rpm goes up? I also still have stock exhaust with cat cleaned out and 4 inch muffler. I thought with my mods I might run faster.raced 2 srt-4s and I smoke them 3/4 of the 1/4 mile then just before traps they go flying by.Ive checked for boost leaks and dint have any. could turbo just be worn out?

I was shifting at 6 and ive been into drag racing all my life and know its not slow from my driving. I was cutting .0-- lights my best 60 ft was 1.81

what do some of u think. some say thats about right for having t-25 and others say I should be way faster.

you might wanna do some basic maintenance to your car, you whould be pulling a 14.9 stock with NO MODS. And whgile ur at it check your compression.and dont run that much boost on the T25, it hurt its feelings :nono: !

What was the temp and humidity like? I ran 15.1 on my fwd when it was stock. That time sounds about right, but like others have said it could have gone slightly faster.

I ran a 14.7@95 with some sticky falken tires, on a 75 degree night, all I had at the time was a cone air filter.

Your 1.6 60ft time sounds solid.

your 60ft times are awesome, but you should be in the mid 14s, maybe even quicker. i took my friends 99 GST with a catback, filter, intake pipe and 15psi with shit tires and ran 14.646 @ 96.3 with a 1.97 60ft.

i would check compression, do a leak down, and test for boost leaks because something is definitely not right.

You must be one hell of a driver to crack a 1.9 60ft with a GST.

My car is a gsx. I did a leak test and i did have a leak where the ebc line goes to actuator. fixed that and turned boost up to 20. felt real good. logger looked good, o2 stayed on .094 all the way thru 3rd gear pull and timing went up at a real nice pace. timing ended up at 30 at 5900. no big drops in timing so must not been spiking. I do have a 255 fuel pump also.

If you don't have an afpr then you are probably going to run fairly rich, which will slow you down. Sure you aren't running rich when you look at your logger?

my o2 was reading .094 all the way thru my 3rd gear pull. and I did a leak test and ebc line that goes to acuator was leaking. got that fixed and seems to pull harder now. I was running 20 lbs of boost with no fuel cut and no spikes in timing. I know thats a lot for the t25 but the more I turn up boost the faster the car is. Im running bosh platnum plugs also.

That little snail is going to go home and cry if you keep torturing it like that. And throw fins into your intake, maybe even have a couple get through the I/C and TB, all the way into your pistons. :b

It may be faster, just turning up the boost... but overtaxing an undersized turbo like that will kill it pretty quick.

Also, as noted above, do you have an AFPR to control that 255HP? If not, you're going to be running rich, aka slow.

Sort your fuel problems and get everything running right. Don't take the lazy route... you'll just make a LOT more work for yourself down the line, and won't be coming anywhere near the potential of the car.
Hell.. your times are saying that you're running worse than stock, at *double* stock boost. :b Taking the hint from your car, and the advice from the above posters would be a really smart thing to do.

what was ur trap speed?
yea id like to kno what the trap speed was too because ive seen people with a under 2 second 60 ft trapping 85 mph n running mid 14's... i ran a 15.1 at 93 with a 2.4 60<--bald tires...i think running over 16 psi is inefficient for the t25...check for boost leaks if your psi is dropping rediculously low...it should drop a little as the rpms get higher...

Yea that sounds like you should be running alittle faster, but yea that is kinda high boost on a t25. you should upgrade to a 16g at least. :thumb: :dsm:

I really don't think that is going to be possible.
You will probably find fin's and such trapped down by the IC but they are not going to get through the IC into the engine.

When my t-25 failed all it did was break the centre shaft in half.

Did the Bosh plugs escape everyone? :)

Don't run platinum plugs with our cars. DSM's don't like platinums. Throw some NGK's in.

i ran a 15.8 @ 89mph and this was about 2 weeks ago at mitsubishi day in about 95-100 degree heat, i only have a gst w/ intake, and exhaust right now, does that sound about right to everyone?

been busy and forgot about post. the night I ran I got a 88 mph trap my last run. temp was like 75 and humidity wasn't bad. I was running 110 mixed with pump 92 about half and half. i hear all kinds of stuff like stock dsm 98 gsx will only do about a 15.5 then Ive heard ppl say 15.0. so thats why I did this post. I thank all of u for the info and I will change to ngk plugs also. I will get to the strip before the end of summer and see if plugs help.Ive got a friend that has a 14b I'm suppose to get but we haven't hooked up in a while. the motor was just overhauled before i bought it also and the head on left side doesn't say 2.0 some ppl said it should have that on it. it has a G6S on the end with a little 6 under it. is that a 98 head do any of u know?

Anyone know about my head having the G6S on it instead of 2.0.

its on the left end of head looking at motor in the car.
