I'm looking for a 14B turbo to put on my 1999 GS-T Spyder. I was wondering if I'll need any additional supporting mods other than the ones I'm about to list. Also, does anyone know the best place to find one? I'm only looking for a slight power increase over the T25, that's the reason why I'm not going with a bigger turbo. I thought I saw a sig on here somewhere indicating a 14B powered Spyder. Any info would be appreciated.

Mods I have are: 3 inch exhaust, ported O2 housing, DP, Greddy BOV, Greddy IC pipes, 255lph pump, FPR.

Good used 14B 300+ New 16G I have seen as low as 450.00 (could be some out there cheaper) why not just go with a 16G if you plan on upgrading your existing Turbo? ;)

You will be fine with the mods listed but your also gonna need an install kit to make the 14b work on your 2g.

Check out the classifieds on here or www.DSMTrader.com for the 14b and you could probably find someone selling an install kit on there too. :thumb:

I picked up my used 14b for $100 (no shaft play). When I was running 13.7@100mph with the t-25, I bolted the 14b on and I ran 13.1@107 with no other mods. When I put my 16g on at 15psi it feels about the same as the 14b at 17psi. I feel the 14b is a great bang for the buck mod.

All you need for an install kit is a stainless oil feedline and a turbo outlet. If you need more directions on this PM me. I believe there is a thread somewhere on this site on how to install this turbo.

Wow you are one of the very few lucky ones that have purchased it for that cheap with no problems! Wish I could have found mine for that much. I paid 275.00 with a 6mos warranty. Most of the ones I saw being sold had little or minimal shaft play, something I dont want to mess with.

You can find a 14b for $100-$200, good condition and used. In fact, I can get you in contact with my friend sellin his 14b for $100 obo.

An install kit isnt really needed, just creativity. I installed my 14b for about $30 ;).

Ideas:
1. Connect the turbo side 1g oil feed line to the filter side 2g line using fuel injection line.
2. Use the 1g J-pipe and stock 2g LICP. Cut between the two 90* bends of the LICP, use a 10" long 2" dia. pipe to extend the LICP.

BTW, I got my 14b for $130 with NO noticeable shaft play.

i bought, ported and installed my 14b for 150 bucks with no shaft play :) Than at the same time i got port the o2 housing and exhaust manifold :). If i was gonna get a new turbo id prolly go to a evo 16g for 450 bucks off ebay i cant beat that price. Anyhow your set up should be fine. Also you need a boost controller of some sort. If you have lots of money than get a electric dispite what everyone says about them. I have the apexi avcr and even though its confusing and a pain in the ass to work it causes no boost creep once so ever and being FWD i can choose the amount of boost for each gear which is by far the best feature.

what is the most psi I can push on my 14b 2g with the only fuel mods being a 190lph pump? (I have all other supporting mods so the only thing limiting me shouldb e the fuel.)
