I plan on upgrading my stock t-25 turbo to the 14b. I searched this site and learned how to install but I do have some questions I can't answer for myself by reading.

- I have a 2 1/4" inlet to 2 1/2" downpipe. Will the stock 1g j-pipe bolt from the turbo onto my aftermarket dp? If not will I have to have it custom? Mandrel bent exhaust piping maybe?

- What is the outlet size where the l-pipe connects to?

That's it. If you can help out I'd appreciate it. TY :)

:talon:

The j-pipe connects to the compressor housing ... has nothing to do with the exhaust ... but you were probably talking about the o2 housing and yes it will work just fine

Oh right. Thanks for clearing that up. :thumb: You know how the j-pipe is at the bottom of the t-25? Well is it like that on the 14b? I'll probably find out in a minute just looking at pics but a quick reply would help.

no on the 14b the j-pipe is at the top of the compressor housing ... so you might have to get an aftermarket lower intercooler pipe kit but one of my buddys just used the stock lower pipes and stretched them to fit ... but you can find the aftermarket pipes at dejon tool if you wanna go that route

Does anyone know the outlet size where the intake goes? 2 1/2" I assume? I'm getting that ebay intake just for the pipe. I know it'll fit the t-25, just wondering if it will fit the 14b as well.

1: The J Pipe has nothing to do with the exhaust.
2: Use the 2g O2 housing, it flows better.
3" Your stock intake will work and an ebay intake should work as well. If not you can always get a coupler and some t-bolt clamps or hose clamps.

You can even use your stock lower I/C pipe. As long as you have the one from a 97-99. The 95-96 have a silencer. So I got the pipe from a 97 and stretched it up to my j-pipe. Good Luck.

For a 14b install, your best route would be to buy a dejontool or roadraceengineering J-pipe. The outlet will most likely be 2.25", which is the same size as the stock intercooler piping.

Ok,

I'm using the 2g o2 housing. I'm getting the 14b turbo this week. So I need a j pipe that goes straight down, like this:

I'll search ebay for it. Other than that I need the oil and water lines then I'll be set.
