Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here, but not to DSMs & especially the Galant VR4. I've been a GVR4 owner for almost 10 years now, & bought my 1st DSM in 1992. I have been a member over on the GVR4 message boards for quite a while, but thought I would check this out as well.
OK, so I am setting up my Galant to hopefully win SCCAs DSP autocross class at the National level. The car is pretty good in the suspension dept, but I do have some questions regarding power. By rule, the engine has to be stock internally, & I have to run an un-modified 14B & BOV. However, basically everything else is open to do what you want. I can run any intake and exhaust set-up, & boost, fuel & engine management are unrestricted. I have a ported Evo III manifold, tubular O2 housing, 3" turbo-back exhaust, FMIC with 2.5' piping, 3" GM MAF w/MAF-T, 650CC PE injectors, 255 pump, Profec B B/C, & SAFC II. However, the ECU, fuel lines, T/B, FPR & rail are all stock. I am hoping to set up the car to make 275-300WHP on a stock 14B, is this possible? Has anyone done anything similar on a DSM (maybe for the ESP class)? What would be the best fuel/electronics set-up to get the most out of it? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
