hey everyone im thinking about making a run for the record and was wondering what the exact time is? i know joe bucci ran a 10.84 but that was in a fwd car correct? is that the record for both fwd and awd or is there a seperate awd record?

Alright thanks, im just trying to get the exact time for the record so I know what to shoot for LOL

All of those times are with fwd correct? im starting with an awd platform and I know they are about 300 lbs heavier and im not sure if I could make up that weight difference to be competitive or not

No, I believe most of them are AWD. I know Shane, Phil and Dave are all AWD. But I highly doubt you'll get close to the record with an AWD. I'm starting on a FWD setup right now that I'll be running a 14b on. Just starting collecting a few parts to start getting out and racing and will gradually get more and more into it as I get some seat time to work on the launching...and learning a bit more about tuning along the way.

The AWD tends to 60' about .2 quicker than the FWD, but by half track, the FWD is pulling by the AWD.

Well im gonna get as close as I can then, like you said it'll be a great learning experience and it'll be tons of fun

I ran a 10.67@128. My car 60' in the high 1.5s closest AWD is Shane with a bottom 11 and 1.4x 60' times. I am making some changes and looking to extend my time even further.

Cool seeing some people step up for this. Good luck!!!

thanks for the info man it was actually yours and joe b's builds that got me started on this whole 14b quest haha it should be lots of fun even if i dont get close with the awd LOL but im just gonna do what i can do and see what happens,i'm dont really care if the car ever sees the street again so it can be a dedicated track car which opens up a few more options as far as weight reduction goes haha

Its all pretty much been talked about in the 14b discussion thread by most the top 10 fastest 14B guys. I think we all pretty much agreed that it has to be in a dsm/gvr4 chassis since that's what it came in.
