Just got back from the track and I'm pumped! 13.6 at 102 is my best E/T to date and I'm still using the 14b and 94 octane pump gas! I also finally broke into the 100mph range after a year of being stuck at 98-99mph! Just thought I'd share. When I get my cam back I'll post the slip!

work on the launch a little more and you should be in the low 13's. Congradulations:thumb:

My launch wasn't to bad. My 60' was 1.89#. I slipped it out from 5200rpm and was shifting at 6500rpm. I'm going to go back next week for more practice as this is only the third time I've run this car at the track. My mod list is in my profile but it's mostly just a front mount, boost controller, fuel/maft upgrades and a clutch. I'm running 22lbs. My log was kind of wierd though. I had zero knock first through third and as soon as I hit forth I got a steady 25 counts until I let off.

Congrats! wish I was AWD, im trapping at  103MPH and pulling :tease: 14.4's

good run, Keep praticing the launch i was pulled 60fts like yours and it was keeping me in the 13s, i pulled a 1.782 and took 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile time.

22 psi on a 14b on pump. :nono:

whats your timing advance

i would work on a better tune.

i think your running too much boost

I agree 22psi on pump with a 14b is too much, i would turn it down to like 19 running more boost isn't always better, you can actually loose power if you go to much. also i would look into some sort of piggy back engine management so you can get a better tune

I know 22 psi was to much. I was having a bit of trouble with my controller. On the previous run it was spiking to 25psi!! then dropping back to 21 so I adjusted it and it stopped spiking but still pulled to 22lbs. My timing advance at 6500 rpm in third was 21 degrees with 6 counts of knock. First and second were 23 degrees with no knock. Forth is were I got all the knock and it starts off at 20 degrees timing at 4843rpm, drops to 10 by 5156rpm and climbs to 17 degrees by 5843 rpm with a steady 24-25 counts of knock all through forth gear.
I'm tuning with an AFC2 and a MAFT so I'm having a hell of a time getting it dialed in.
I think I can drop a few more tenths buy taking out the interior and I also had amost 3/4 of a tank of gas in the car. Other than that I just gotta work on my launch's and get my 60' times down.

22 pounds of boost is too much only if you can't tune your timing. On my 14b the last time out to the track I ran fastest on pump at 22 psi, 15 degrees of timing sloping to 19 by redline, though I was only shifting at ~6200 rpm so I was only seeing 17 degrees peak. I tried adding more timing at a lower boost of 20 psi, but the car didn't like it, hit a 10 count of knock and broke up on the top end. I figure I can pull 23 psi and a degree or two more timing out of it with a few on-ramp test and tune sessions before I head back out to the track.

If you want to run that much boost, maybe you could take a timing light out to the track and just retard your base timing to move your whole timing curve down a few degrees. Or better yet, throw some race gas in there and advance the timing a few degrees. Either way, congrats on the new best. :thumb:

You were probbaly knocking up top hurting your MPH with no knock a 14b at 22psi would trap higher than that.

Turn the boost down to 20 and nail the launch and you could get real close to a 12.

good run. the knock is what killed your run. back her down a lil bit and youll be just fine. with basically the same setup i ran 13.28 at 19psi fallin down to around 17ish by 6500. my best 60 was also 1.85 which really needs to come down. drop the boost. drop the 60 and pray for 12's!!!!!!!

My best 60' in this car was a 1.7** last year. I don't know about 12's though LOL! I got the boost under controll now. It's holding steady at 20psi. I'm waiting for a part to arrive so I can ditch the B&M FPR and install my Aeromotive unit so that should help a little too. Why do you guys think I was knocking so bad in forth? Was it the boost or the tuning? I was doing third gear pulls all the way to the track trying to tune her in and wasn't getting any serious knock then or during my run.

Good run, I would expect a little higher MPH at 22psi, the 14b is one potent stock turbo :D
