It seems like most boost leak testers are to expensive so i made my own and created this as a write up of how you can to for about 11.00
PICTURE ONE: you will see the parts needed
.gas leak tester
.3/4 double female ended joint (the length is up to you. i used 1 1/2")
.2'' PVC END
.Teflon tape
.pipe glue (or other that you feel is strong enough to seal air tight)
PICTURE TWO: I bought a cap that had lines on it because the lip at the bottom is excellent for making sure the coupler don't slip of. (at high psi it can hurt you bad)
i sanded the vertical lines of so it would be nice and round.
PICTURE THREE: drill a hole on top of cap to match the 3/4 joint (make it slightly smaller for good grip.
PICTURE FOUR: put glue on both the one female end of joint and cap and screw it in. DO NOT PUT GLUE ON OTHER END.
PICTURE FIVE: after it dries a little bit flip and add more glue on the inside. i like to flood it a little to make stronger bond and to ensure air tight seal.
PICTURE SIX: WHEN DRIED, put Teflon tape on other end of female joint and screw on the gas tester. YOUR DONE!!!
I AM NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY OR ANY ACCIDENTS YOU MAY HAVE FOR MISUSE OR DEFECTIVE PARTS.
hope it helps some of my fellow broke DSMERS out there
