I saw something in a magazine, Maxxim i believe it was, spring loaded 1/8" flat stock attached to the underside of the car just to the rear of the door's, it had a button in the cockpit, as well as a release lever attached to the alarm system, if activated (i.e. in a carjacking) the steel bar would swing forward nicely shattering any ankle it came in contact with. Gotta love inventive people :)

Guns ;)

Well the peice of shit jetta I'm driving right now has a great anti-theft system.

The fuel pump relay went out, so I just put a switch and some wires under the dash. The car won't start unless you flip that switch, and you can't see it unless you actually stick your head under the dash. I know exactly where it is so I just stick my hand up under the dash and flip it on.

Actually I wish someone would steal this car though, or I will run it into a tree soon.

*shudders at the thought of shattering ankles*

OUCH !!!!

Teach them some act right ! LOL

How about the fact that everyone in your town knows you have a Pre Ban Ar-15, A Bushmaster V-Match Sniper rifle, A Romak 3 Sniper rifle a defender shotgun. And about 4 handguns.....0 and that you could make them dissapear and the police will never found out who did it....O yes Fear is a wonderful thing

You live in montana man....isn't that the norm? :p

I always used the fuel pump shutoff method when I was really worried. That magnet thing is damn cool though.

i like the whole shattering of the ankles idea.

Cripes, I'd be worried about the guns getting stolen.

Oh, and there's always the Trunk Monkey.....

You guys with alarm sirens inside the car- where do you hide them for maximum pain? Should I try to buy one designed for interior use?

Dont have to worry about the guns getting stolen people know i used to be in the military and wanted to go special forces. people think if they piss me off im going to slip trough the night and slit there troat in there sleep. Puls I have a very big fireproof gun safe. And a German Sheapard comming next...Awsome dogs when u train them

I have an alarm and a black anaoconda snake I like to call charlie in my car, when I leave it alone :p

in my mustang i had a switch wired to underneath the ash tray. when i would park the car i would remove the ashtray, reach back and under the centerconsole a little bit and flick a switch shutting off power to the fuel pump. i'd put the ashtray back in its spot and walk away. the switch was very hidden so it worked quite well

My TMO Stage III has the security feature, where you have to input a security code in order to start the car (security code is entered using a series of ups and downs on the accelerator pedal).

That sounds insane. I am thinking maybe I should just go with the new inter-viral newscopic retnal scanner. I will just mount that in the rear view mirror. If you arent me, a mini arsenal of nerf guns will fold out from the glove box and shout some sort of verbal warning in a "very angry" german accent.

Had a buddy with a nice 68 bug. He had a kill switch in his car. He put a push button on the floor board. Kinna like the hi low headlight switch you used to see in older cars. He had it set up specifically for car jacking. If somone forced him out of the car he would hit the switch. The car would run for a specified time before it quit with no restarting unless you knew where the switch was. I think that would work great. Then you would just follow the theif on foot until the car stalled. Then carjack it back. Make sure to have access to a tire iron. :D
For car audio: I knew a guy who would solder razor blades on the back of his stereo components. That way if the theif would try to pull it out they would slice the shit out of his hands. Course that was way back when people used to mount 10 band eq's and stuff under their dash sou you would have to reach around to the back and try to yank it forward. Never lost any stereo gear to theives.

My buddy had a "pedal-code" alarm system. As in, you have a set password that you enter with the clutch, brake, and gas pedals. After entering the correct code, a selinoid would connect the battery back in circuit, or something liek that. In order to start the car, you have to hit the pedals in the correct order to turn the alarm off, and make the car able to start. Like for example, you get into the car, the you press: clutch, gas, brake, brake, clutch. then the electronics would turn on to turn the car on. now if you ask me, that is pretty bitchin! :thumb:

take a set of jumper cables from a secondary battery and have them run to something metal on your car. When someone touches your car watch them get sparked :thumb:

OUCH!!

If you did something like that, might wanna put a disclamor on your window though. something like "WARNING! Tempering with this vehicle may result in physical injury. Touch at your own risk."

That way the thief can't say he was just "admiring your ride and it attacked him"

LOL When Good Cars Go Bad!

Putting a switch in the fuel pump relay sounds like a good one...would you put the switch on the line off the ECU for the relay? Or is there another wire to use?

I heard of a Co. in Germany a few years back that had designed a setup where flames shot out from under the car. I guess there is not need to ask why it didnt make it. LOL Thats the only reason why I like my TMO chip. You have to know the pedel code, and even when you do know it. It has to be perfect.

I say have a small sticker made and put it on both windows.
*Warning there is a little red target on the back of your head*hehehe

I would prefer "The Transporter" style security, where you have an actual keypad on the center console and you must type an ignition code to start the car. It could be hidden in the ashtray! Too bad i don't have my car anymore
